Top pick: #3 (THAT BOY) - Has excellent early speed and comes off one of the best efforts of his career. Gelding sprinted clear last out at this distance, set fast fractions, and held well to finish second. Race was his first at this $5K tag since coming back from a five-month layoff. Wins this with a repeat effort.
2nd pick: #5 (Smarty Smith) - Speed/stalker chased and held for the place here June 4 in a race at this tag and trip. Much improved since a trainer switch to Tim Shaw and a threat from close-range.
3rd pick: #1 (Regent Executive) - Veteran loves this distance (16-7-1-2) and is working nicely for trainer Phil Aristone as this gelding makes his first start since Dec. 11. Has the rail and is a threat if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Southern Arch) - One-run type has been racing evenly since relocating from Woodbine late in '09 and will need to finish a bit better for a shot at the top spot. Nice to see Carmouche give it another go.

Jack Jones Free Pick For Monday: Matt Holliday (+300) to win 2010 Home Run Derby
I'll take the hottest hitter in the field in Holliday, who has hit 5 home runs in his last 6 games. Holliday can do it all, but when he decides to take a big cut at it he doesn't mess around. That's indicated by the fact that Holliday's average home run in 2010 is 412.3 feet, which is a better average than any other contender in the field. He is in some kind of groove right now and will come into this competition with a lot of confidence.
If you want to go for more value, then Chris Young (+1200) might be worth a shot with his ability to pull the ball with power.
